Bunsho is novel-writing software for macOS and Windows that combines a manuscript editor with a continuity engine. It tracks characters, timelines, locations, objects, events, and world rules from the writer's prose, then identifies continuity errors, contradictions, timeline problems, and potential plot holes. Bunsho also includes World, Planner, Continuity, and Director Mode features to help writers organize stories, plan chapters, check character knowledge, and draft directed scenes while preserving author control.

Open World to review story elements, Planner to organize chapter goals, or Continuity to run checks and compare conflicting passages. Sign in when you want to use AI features such as continuity checking and Director Mode. In Director Mode, tag characters, describe the next scene, review the preflight warnings and beat sheet, then accept, re-render, or discard generated prose.
