VoxForge was set up to collect transcribed speech for use in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speech_Recognition ("SRE"s) such as such as http://www.ece.msstate.edu/research/isip/projects/speech/index.html, http://htk.eng.cam.ac.uk/, http://julius.sourceforge.jp/en_index.php?q=en/index.html and http://cmusphinx.sourceforge.net/html/cmusphinx.php.  We will categorize and make available all submitted audio files (also called a 'Speech Corpus") and Acoustic Models in https://www.voxforge.org/home/docs/faq/faq/what-is-gpl format.
